Frederick A. Douglass High School

At Frederick A. Douglass High School, we strive to get students to and through college, while providing a genuine New Orleans high school experience that includes a variety of extra-curricular activities, milestones such as Homecoming and Prom, and culturally responsive educational experiences unique to our students in our city. FDHS is also home to the Early College Academy, which gives students the opportunity to earn 60 college credits and an associate’s degree by the time they graduate high school. KIPP New Orleans Schools Kick Off a Milestone Year with a Warm Welcome

As we kick off our 20th school year, KIPP New Orleans Schools is celebrating more than just an anniversary—we're celebrating the growth and connections we've built with our students, families, and community. From one school in 2005 to a network of 13 today, we've shared this journey with thousands of students who have grown up with us, learned with us, and inspired us. This milestone is a testament to the promises we've made and kept: to provide a place where every student can thrive and every dream can take root. Here's to 20 years of growing together and the bright future ahead.
